is a family-based production company, which was
established in 2008. Our mission is to develop wholesome, uplifting, impactful and moral avenues for artistic expression in the Caribbean, Africa and beyond. Our aim is to impact our nation, the region and the world with the message of our product.

Dave Weekes
Executive Producer
Dave Weekes is a Barbadian and the husband of Marcia Weekes, who both reside in Barbados. Dave holds a BSc. from The University of the West Indies, Cave Hill campus and an MBA from St. John’s University in New York. Dave and Marcia are the parents of three wonderful boys Dan-Jamal, Marc-Ari and Josh-Dayo. As Chairman of the board of Praise Academy of Dance and a Director of Step By Step Productions, Dave has over the past 20 years managed the development and growth of these entities in an ever evolving landscape. Dave has worked assiduously to distribute the films of Step By Step Productions to the islands of the Caribbean, the USA, Canada, the UK, France, Cuba, Brazil and the African Continent. One of his passions is to create opportunities for young people to discover, embrace, develop and utilize their talents and strongly believes “opportunity” is one of the ways we can reduce some of the negative ills of our society. Having experienced a tiny bit of Africa, Dave believes many opportunities lay awaiting, as Mother Africa becomes more aware of her children in the Caribbean.
Marcia Weekes
Director/Producer/Script Writer
Marcia is a native of Jamaica and is married to Barbadian Dave Weekes. Together, they studied and lived in New York before migrating back to Barbados. Marcia has been the Artistic Director of Praise Academy of Dance - Barbados for over 17 years. She has been instrumental in progressing the school from a uni-focused dance school into a school of the arts where many forms of dance are taught, in addition to acting for film and theatre. She recently founded the Caribbean School of the Arts, where a balanced education in the Business and the Arts is the focus. With no formal training in filmmaking, Marcia has written, directed and produced seven (7) successful feature-length films including the Hush Series, Chrissy, Vigilante – The Crossing, Barrow – Freedom Fighter (which won an AMMA) and the 2019 released drama, JOSEPH. Marcia is a true inspiration and is herself inspired and driven by God and her love and devotion to the youth. Marcia is passionate but fun to work with. Dan-Jamal Weekes
Dan - Jamal "Danny J" Weekes is the son of Dave and Marcia and has been the 1st AC at SBS . Danny is also the Founder and Director of Danny-J-Films based in Los Angeles where he is a video director, cinematographer and editor. He assist companies & artists curate visual media for their marketing campaigns. This includes TV, Web & social media commercials and other content. Danny-J is an avid filmmaker.
